This week is a rebroadcast of the important March 03 program. Bill 6 and Bill 36 are on the agenda on the Landowner Talk Radio this week. Bill 6 is the legislative package put forward by the Redford government that creates the Office of the Property Rights Advocate. In this week’s program, host Kevin Avram points out that because the Property Rights Advocate has no power or authority at all, and because the government has announced it is determined to keep Bills 24, 36, and 50 fully intact, this new position is mere symbolism by a government that is committed to an anti-property rights agenda. Keith Wilson then explains ramifications of Bill 36 that few people have considered.

The week on the Alberta Landowner Talk Radio, Landowners Council Policy Chair Keith Wilson, and program host Kevin Avram, walk listeners through a step by step explanation of how the PC government’s Bill 36 usurps the rights of Alberta landowners, despite the fact that government MLAs, en masse, are claiming that the opposite is true. The program also explains the negative impact of Bill 36 not just on farmers and ranchers, but on the province’s energy sector as well.

This week, a rebroadcast of our Dec 24th program. (Brand new program airs next week on Alberta Landowners Talk Radio)

The term "property rights" refers to a legal claim an individual has the right to make, rather than being a statement about a particular object or item that belongs to someone.  On this week's edition of the Alberta Landowners Talk Radio, Lawyer Keith Wilson explains why the rule of law is essential to the protection of property rights.  Then along with program host, Kevin Avram, the two men walk listeners through a discussion about the impact property rights have on wealth creation, stewardship, and why the Alberta Land Bills, in particular Bill 36, are non-starters.....

This week,  the Alberta Landowner Talk Radio is a rebroadcast of our Dec 10 broadcast.  Program host Kevin Avram and Lawyer Keith Wilson address Bill 50 and its implications on the province.

Projections are that Bill 50 will triple industrial power rates and drive value added processing and investment out of the province. Keith explains how and why it is appropriate to refer to these Bill 50 lines as power lines that start nowhere and go nowhere. Kevin compares that to the bridge to nowhere US politicians wanted to build in Alaska, and then ponders the fact that the bridge to nowhere was to cost US taxpayers $400 million and proved to be a scandal, whereas the transmission lines to nowhere in Alberta will cost 40 times that amount yet many people have not yet fully grasped the significance of what Bill 50 will do to the province.

HOW THE GOVERNMENT'S BILL 36 COULD BE USED TO RESCIND THE GOLDEN HANDSHAKES, AFTER THE PC MLAs RETIRE

This week's edition of Alberta Landowner Talk Radio is a rebroadcast of our Dec 17 program which features Edmonton area lawyer Keith Wilson, and host Kevin Avram, discussing the difference between the principle of property rights and the actual property someone owns. Then the two men walk listeners through exactly how the controversial Alberta Land Bill known as Bill 36, could be used by a newly elected Alberta Cabinet to rescind the statutory consent that provides retiring government MLAs and Cabinet Ministers with golden handshakes that in some instances amount to more than $1 million. Wilson then explains how provisions within Bill 36 would ensure that retiring PC MLAs would be left without recourse, without the right to appeal, or any other legal means to seek restitution----all because of a Bill that the PC MLAs themselves passed into law and have ardently defended.
